Brahmin Summer 2011 collection preview 1 - Suri Wallets

Have you ever trying to find something that you really need but cannot find a suitable one after a long search? I do. The last time that I bought a wallet was 2000 in Milan. I really love my Ferragamo wallet. It is the classic one with a golden clutch on one side with a thick ribbon. I like its low profile and classic characters. Also, it is so practical to hold a lot of stuff. A few years ago, it started to rip and I have been looking for a new one. However, I cannot find one that I like the style and big enough to hold everything that my current one is "swallowing".

When I see these Suri Wallets of Brahmin Summer 2011 collection from Vogue, I think that I can give it a try. Firstly, they are stylish although I consider them a bit mature. Secondly, they seem to be big. I definitely would take a look of the real product and try if they fit my requirements.

Don't be so surprise if you see me using one of these one day. If there's a purple one, I can tell you that you would see me using one tomorrow.

New spring head-to-toes looks

There are 7 head-to-toes looks featured in this Vogue TV Style Radar video. It tells you what'd be the new spring essentials.

I really like the part of accessories, maybe because I like all kinds of earrings, necklaces, bracelets and purses. In my jewelry boxes (actually I have more than one and several drawers of accessories), I keep many earrings of various styles and necklaces that I bought from many places such as Japan, China, Thailand, Italian, Switzerland, Belgium and France, etc. How many earrings, rings, necklaces or accessories I have? Good question! I have never counted but must be hundreds.

Just like a typical woman, I love purses, handbags and shoes too. However, my current is too small to keep a big stock. After I have given birth to 2 children, the efforts and money have been invested on them partially. I think that I own about 40 pairs of shoes, over 20 handbags and purses at one time. Even now, I believe that I still have 2/3 now, maybe more.

Hope you enjoy the video and can find some inspiration about the spring trends.

Tokidoki Sodashop Tin - essential for a good eye-makeup kit

Are you a beauty junkie like me?

I like to try every beauty and skincare product. When I was a little girl, I was always amazed by the appearance of TV actresses and movie stars. How can they look so glowing and beautiful?

Finally, I learn that it's their eyes that make these women so outstanding among the crowd. Not everybody born with a pair of charming big eyes with long slashes. But, we women can make use of cosmetics to "create" our own attractiveness.

I saw this tokidoki Sodashop Tin in Sephora site. It stocks with 12 eye shadows, a eyeliner, a nail file and tokidoki magnets. The 12 eye shadows include the most commonly used brown tone, the essential blacks for smoky eyes, the feminine purples and the basic highlight silver white. Plus the eyeliner, you basically get more than enough for a nice eye makeup.

The cute design of the tin box gives me an impression of being young and girly. It reminds me my golden old days.

One of my favorite nail polishes OPI

I have been using OPI nail polishes for a few years. Its extensive color choices always makes me so excited when I am in a Sephora store. I just cannot pick only 1 bottle and go. Most of the time, I end up buying several jars of OPI. What I like about OPI is its quality other than its color collections. With my work that requires a lot of typing and housework that requires washing, opening cans, picking stuff on the floor, the nail polish usually can end for almost a week. But most of the time, I change colors and reapply a new one after 3-4 days.

My 3-year-old girl likes me to apply nail polishes. She prefers pink and coral. I know that she will one day share my stock of OPI very soon.

A new cheek stain product

This new Hourglass Aura Sheer Cheek Stain has caught my eyeball and I am interested to see how it works with a sponge tip top. The shade that I received as an Vogue Influencer is Petal which is a light rosy pink color. The first time to apply it on the cheek is not easy and it is totally new, it takes a little bit time for the liquid to be absorbed by the sponge.

Pros:
1) It is subtle and light in color. You won't over-do.
2) The color is just so adorable.
3) Its shiny nature makes it also suitable for a night out.

Cons:
1) Since it is light and subtle, it takes quite a bit of time to get the preferred result.
2) The sponge is a bit rough on skin.

So far, I like this cheek stain and I will definitely recommend to my friends. Of course, I will use it myself.
